Misawa Aviation & Science Museum is hard to miss. A new museum to the city that is located almost adjacent to Misawa AB. The museum is nearly all hands on exhibits with themes of aviation and science. It is perfect for kids and adults. Located in the building is a childrens playground, event hall, cafe & gift shop, theater, library, resting room and terrace.
If you head towards Misawa City Airport and take your first left and then follow the blue signs to "Misawa Sky Park". The entrance fee is 500 Yen ($5) for adults and 300 Yen for 16-18 year olds. Under 16 years old are free! The museum hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday except Mondays (closed).
