You can find Sanwado stores all over Northern Japan. They carry about everything you can think of. The Misawa store is split into two sections, indoor items such as dishes, pots and pans, large and small rugs, small and large appliances. For the outdoor section there is building supplies, lumber, lawn mowers, packing supplies. They also have a small grocery section stocked with frozen goods, produce and alcohol.
Hours: I couldn't locate them but they are open 7 days a week
Currency: Yen, Major Credit Cards
Directions: Travel out the main gate to the second stoplight and make a right turn. Travel up the hill until you get to the stoplight where you can go left on Sun Maru road or straight (no right turn, McDonalds road). Proceed down this road and go straight thru the stoplight where McDonalds is on the right corner. At the next light (small car dealership on the left) make a left and Sanwado will be on the right.

Do they sell furniture as well? We need kitchen and dining area stuff to make up for our lack of counter and storage space.Thanks.
I hear this is a good place to buy the blackout curtains. They are cheaper here than if you were to buy them in the states and bring them over.
