Cake House Shiroi Mori

So my high metabolism and constant sweet tooth may require that I taste test every bakery in Northern Japan.... Cake House Shiroi Mori is a great place to find a gift or sit down and have a beautiful ice cream parfait. They have a variety of pastries and coffee as well.

Hours: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

Currency: Yen

Directions: A variety of ways to get there. It is located across the ENEOS and next to the Honda dealership. If you head out towards the toll road it will be on the left hand side of the road. If you take the POL gate go straight through the Nogawa intersection, past Netz Toyota. After Netz Toyota you will come to a stoplight, go straight. The road will split stay to the right. The Cake House will be 1 km down the hill.

i've already been in Misawa for a few months & have just tried Cake House yesterday. definitely one of the bakeries people should try out! I love how the desserts in Japan are pretty light..doesn't make me feel so guilty! ;-)

I've sampled a bunch of cake houses as well, but finally made it out to Shiroi Mori for the first time tonight with some girlfriends! They have big comfy couches at tables now! We asked one of the girls behind the counter what her favorite cake was and she said the chocolate cake (with a strawberry on top and banana inside). It was delicious! I have the feeling I'll be going back there quite a bit! :-D
